End of term speech and presentations by Founder Richard Wanjala Manya

On the last day of term in July before the start of the short school break, Founder/Administrator of Patmos School Richard Wanjala Manya addressed the pupils and staff.  He delivered a speech designed to encourage and motivate the children to make good use of their time at home before the resumption of studies.   Richard then proceeded to present certificates to children in all age groups who had worked particularly hard this last term to improve their grades.

He also used the occasion to give praise to the hard work of the teaching staff and to everyone who works at Patmos School and to thank everybody for their commitment to the school.

In July schools in Kenya were able to close for a short break of only two weeks and lessons resumed again on the 26th July, 2021.  With the disruption to the school learning calendar caused by school closures in Kenya in 2020, it will be some time before term dates resume to their former covid-19 structure.

During the school closures of 2020 Patmos School formulated and ran a Distance Learning Program which ensured that all pupils wherever possible received school work to be done in the home setting.
